MINIMOSAIC operates minimosaic.art from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

Order information. Name, email, billing and shipping address, phone number, order contents, and payment confirmation. Full card numbers are handled by our payment processors and are never stored by us.
Account information, if you create an account: email and password, stored encrypted, and your order history.
Marketing information, if you subscribe: email address and engagement with our emails.
Device and usage information, collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and cookie identifiers.
Communications. Anything you send us by email or social message.

Why we use it

To process, pack, and ship your order; to collect payment and calculate taxes and duties; to provide customer support and handle claims; to prevent fraud; to send marketing email where you have consented; to understand how the store is used and improve it; and to meet our legal and tax obligations.

Shopify Inc., our e-commerce platform and host
Payment processors, including Shopify Payments, for taking payment
Shipping carriers and consolidators, to deliver your order
Customs and duty services, to declare cross-border shipments and remit U.S. import charges
Email and review services, to send order notifications and, with your consent, marketing
Analytics providers, to measure site traffic
Government authorities where required by law

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

The site uses cookies necessary for the cart and checkout, plus analytics and, where enabled, advertising cookies. You can control cookies in your browser. Disabling necessary cookies will prevent checkout from working.

International transfers

Our service providers, including Shopify, store and process data in Canada, the United States, and other countries whose privacy laws differ from your own. Where required, we use contractual safeguards with those providers.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for seven years to meet Canadian tax and record-keeping requirements. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept according to our providers' retention periods.

Your rights

You may ask us to access, correct, delete, or provide a portable copy of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent to marketing at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing us. Quebec residents have additional rights under Law 25, including de-indexing and information about automated decisions. California residents may request disclosure and deletion under the CCPA and CPRA and are entitled not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We respond within 30 days.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information.
